Key components include all-flash storage arrays from Infortrend and Pure Storage, providing ultra-fast data access and high availability. A modular SuperMicro blade server platform powers virtualization and compute needs, ensuring efficient workload distribution and operational flexibility. Security is enforced through industry-leading Sophos Intercept X endpoint protection, safeguarding critical assets against advanced cyber threats.

Project

Expo Group has successfully implemented a state-of-the-art enterprise IT infrastructure designed to support its rapidly growing operations across multiple sectors. The deployment focuses on high-performance storage, virtualization, networking, and security, built using leading-edge technologies from renowned vendors.

Storage Infrastructure

• Infortrend EonStor GS 4000 & GS 2000 Series: Deployed as core storage solutions, these high-availability, NVMe All-Flash systems deliver robust throughput and scalability. Equipped with U.3 NVMe SSDs and multiple 25GbE iSCSI ports, the storage arrays ensure ultra-fast access to critical business data.
• Pure Storage FlashArray FA-C20: Integrated with 148TB capacity under the Evergreen Foundation model, providing lightning-fast I/O operations, deduplication, and enterprise-grade data resilience.

Compute and Virtualization

• SuperMicro Blade Servers: A modular SuperMicro 6U blade chassis was implemented with 10 high-density blade servers, each featuring dual Intel Xeon CPUs. This architecture supports dense virtualization workloads, enabling rapid scaling and energy-efficient performance.
• Advanced remote management modules and 10GbE networking modules ensure seamless system administration and interconnectivity across the blade environment.

Cybersecurity and Endpoint Protection

• Sophos Central Intercept X Advanced: Sophos solutions were deployed across endpoints and servers to provide proactive protection using AI-driven threat detection, exploit prevention, and ransomware mitigation. This deployment covers both standard user endpoints and critical server infrastructure, with centralized cloud-based management and a 3-year support plan.

High-Speed Networking & Connectivity

• The infrastructure is fully equipped with optical fiber connections, SFP28 transceivers, and 25GbE Ethernet modules, allowing for low-latency, high-bandwidth internal communication between storage, compute, and backup components.
